The mission of the American Board of Periodontology is to advance and elevate the quality of periodontal care through examination, certification, and recertification of
periodontists through Diplomate status. Diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology have made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. To achieve Board certification,
periodontists must, Have completed dental school and have earned a DDS or DMD degree. Be a certified periodontist. Complete a comprehensive qualifying and oral examination covering all phases of
periodontal disease and its treatments, including dental implants, Recertification every six years.

Vertical and Horizontal Ridge Augmentation
Vertical and horizontal augmentation presents one of the greatest challenges of bone regeneration in implant dentistry. This is primarily due to the difficulty of the surgical procedure and its potential complications. Patient selection, patient preparation for surgery, precise surgical techniques and postoperative management are the key factors in reducing the rate of bone graft complications. To predictably achieve successful bone augmentation angiogenesis, clot stability and space maintenance should be employed. In an attempt to achieve wound closure and hence graft stability, the buccal mucosa are often broadly released, and this often results in a severe apical translocation of the mucogingival line, loss of vestibule and keratinized mucosa (KM). The detailed surgical anatomy of the floor of the mouth, the Modified Lingual Flap as well as the technique for protecting the mental nerve will be presented in detail. Recent research of the SAUSAGE TECHNIQUE as well as minimally invasive soft tissue reconstruction will be
presented. Dr.Beck with Dr.Istvan Urban world renowned surgeon expert ( Budapest ,Hungary) Dr.Beck with Dr.John Chao , inventor of the Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique® ( Los Angeles , CA )
The Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST), invented and patented by John Chao, DDS,
MAGD, is a scalpel-free, suture-free procedure for correcting gum recession. Through a
small hole made by a needle, Dr. Chao uses specially designed instruments to gently
loosen the gum tissue and glide it over the receded part of the tooth. Since there is no cutting or stitching, patients can expect minimal post-operative symptoms (pain, swelling and bleeding). Most patients also are pleasantly surprised by the instant cosmetic improvement. The unique features of the Pinhole® Surgical Technique have aroused keen interest on the part of the media. So far news programs and 240 TV stations have featured this scalpel-free technique of treating a problem that is found in half of the U.S. population (JADA, 2003). Dr. Chao made a guest appearance on the nationally syndicated “The Doctors Show”, “Dr. Steve Show”, “ABC”, “NBC”, and over 240 other stations across the U.S. and Canada,
reaching an estimated 10 million viewers. For this reason, you may have already heard questions and comments from your colleagues and patients about this “breakthrough”method of correcting gingival recession.
Dr. Chao was granted patents and trademarks on the PST method and PST instruments by
the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Innovator of several soft tissue plastic surgical techniques, Prof Giovanni
Zucchelli is also author of more than 100 pubblications  in Pubmed.
He was speaker at major international conferences on periodontology and has
taught theoretical and practical (with live Surgery) courses in all countries.
Prof Zucchelli is the author of the book title, ‘Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery’ best
seller from Quintessence Publishing  which is published in 12 different languages
and Co-author of two illustrated textbooks on periodontal plastic surgery (Ed.
Martina) and of the chapter “Mucogingival Therapy-Periodontal Plastic Surgery”
in Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (Lindhe J, Lang NP, Karring T
[eds], Wiley-Blackwell).
The Soft Tissue Approach to Implant Therapy in the Esthetic Area
Teeth can be extracted for dental and periodontal reasons. A new “mucogingival”
approach applied to delayed or immediate post-extraction implant and
temporization will be presented to optimize the esthetic outcome in the case of
teeth extracted for dental reasons. A soft tissue approach for implant placement
in the esthetic area of teeth extracted for periodontal disease will be described in
detail. Preliminary results on the application of soft tissue plastic surgery to
improve papillae around implants will be also presented.
The Clinic: About Us

Dr.Beck with Dr. Raymond A. Yukna , world expert in laser dentistry , Institute for Advanced
Laser Dentistry, LANAP® protocol ( Los Angeles , CA )
LANAP = Laser Assisted Regeneration (LAR)

An FDA-cleared laser treatment called the LANAP protocol offers a less painful, more
successful treatment alternative to conventional surgery. LANAP=LAR is the only
scientifically, research proven methodology that results in true periodontal regeneration,
new bone growth and gum tissue reattachment. LANAP and LAR is accomplished with the
PerioLase MVP-7. It is a free-running, variable pulsed Nd:YAG laser. The 7 variable pulse
durations can be thought of as “different lasers” in one device as they have discrete and
discriminating tissue interactions. The LANAP=LAR treatment is one of the most successful
protocols in treating gum disease because it can target the source of the inflammation
without hurting or removing any healthy gum tissue, slow or stop attachment loss and
decrease pocket depth, and allowing the body to recover from the chronic infection without
the need for scalpel or sutures.
